Privacy Policy
This policy explains what AlgoNexus collects, why, who else handles it, and the choices you have. It covers the AlgoNexus mobile app. AlgoNexus for MetaTrader 5, our desktop app, has its own policy: the Charter Privacy Policy, which applies to Charter in place of this one. AlgoNexus is operated by uMncube (Pty) Ltd, South Africa ("we", "us"). Effective 19 September 2026.
What we collect
Your account: your email address, the name you give us (optional), and how you sign in. We never see or store your password.
The tour: if you take the tour before signing up, it runs on an anonymous account with no name or email. That account and everything made during the tour are deleted when the tour ends.
Your plan: the plan you are on, when your free trial ends, and the store's confirmation of a subscription. We never receive your card or bank details.
Your trading account: the broker you choose and the account number you enter. The broker tells us whether that account was opened through our partner link.
What you ask AlgoNexus to do: your strategies, your conversations with AlgoNexus, your alerts and your watchlist.
Charter: the market, timeframe and charting methods you choose, and a short description of what Charter drew. It does not collect your MT5 password, your own drawings or your browsing history.
How you use the app: sign-up and tour steps, recorded against a random ID and never with anything you type, kept for up to 12 months.
Notifications: your notification choices, and a device token if you allow notifications.
Technical records: the requests the app and Charter make, and any errors, kept for up to 14 days.
How we use it
To run AlgoNexus: checking the markets against your strategies, sending you alerts, and drawing and explaining your chart in Charter.
To give you what your plan includes.
To confirm your trading account was opened through our broker partner link, which is required to use AlgoNexus.
To email you sign-in codes and account notices. Alerts are never emailed; they appear in the app and, if you allow it, as notifications on your phone.
To improve AlgoNexus and keep it secure: preventing abuse, limiting excessive use and investigating faults.
To learn which market conditions traders ask for, from strategy wording that cannot be linked to you.
We do not sell your personal information, show advertising, or track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Who else handles it
Google: sign-in, storage and push notifications.
AI model providers (Anthropic and DeepSeek): the text of your strategies, your chat messages and Charter's chart descriptions, so AlgoNexus can understand and answer. Your name and email are not sent with them.
The app store you subscribe through: it takes the payment and tells us whether the subscription is active.
Our hosting and email delivery providers.
The brokers (Exness, and XM when it opens to AlgoNexus): when you open an account through our link you are that broker's customer, under its own privacy policy. We send the broker the account number, and your email when you connect it, and the broker tells us whether the account was opened under our partner link.
Authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers process information outside South Africa. We use them only under terms that protect your information as South African law requires.
How long we keep it
Your information is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, it is deleted, and so is your sign-in. Strategy wording kept for learning cannot be linked to you and is not deleted.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel that in the app store you bought it from.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you may ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it.
You can delete your account and its data at any time in the app: Settings, then Delete account. For anything else, email us.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you may complain to South Africa's Information Regulator (inforeg.org.za).
Security
We protect your information with access controls and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as the law requires.
Children
AlgoNexus is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the effective date and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email.
